Position: Substance Abuse Counselor / SUD Counselor (W2 – Full Time)

Salary: $30–$42 per hour (based on credentials and experience)

Schedule:

Monday–Friday | 8-hour shift

We are actively hiring a full-time Substance Abuse Counselor / Drug Counselor to join our established outpatient opioid treatment program (OTP).

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred
  • OR Maryland credentials: LGADC, LCADC, CAC-AD, CSC-AD, ADT, LGPC, LCPC
  • Experience in substance use or behavioral health preferred
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Compassionate and professional approach to client care
  • Work Setting:
    Community Health Center, Outpatient, In‑person
Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling (average 8–10 client sessions daily)
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans
  • Complete timely documentation in EMR
  • Monitor client progress and support recovery goals
  • Participate in supervision and team meetings
  • Collaborate with medical and behavioral health staff
  • Maintain compliance with program policies and regulatory standards
  • Travel up to 15% for client-related activities
