Overview

The Research Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Principal Investigator (PI) and Senior Research Coordinator to develop, implement, and monitor research protocols and systems to maintain project timelines, compliance with Institutional Review Board (IRB) standards, and adherence to scientific procedures. The incumbent will coordinate and perform daily lab activities, collect data, conduct research assessments and imaging procedures, and assist with all aspects of the research protocol.

Responsibilities

Assist in the coordination, development, execution, and monitoring of systems and research protocols for specific research projects/studies to ensure that Institutional Review Board (IRB)/scientific requirements are met, confidentiality is maintained, the consent processes is followed, and the accuracy and quality assurance of the data is maintained.

Assist in the development and documentation of research protocols and with training staff on all aspects of the research protocols.

Maintain clear, complete, and accurate records of data collection and analysis steps performed.

Support oversight of daily lab activities by monitoring project deadlines and milestones.

Coordinate or perform the set up/breakdown of testing rooms and videotaping of evaluations.

Oversee and actively contribute to subject recruitment activities (i.e., mailings, posting fliers, contacting outside agencies, etc.)

Conduct telephone screening interviews to determine research participant eligibility and track eligibility data.

Perform informed consent procedures with interested and eligible study participants.

Coordinate the scheduling of research participants, examiners, equipment, and spaces for appointments.

Assess infants and children, with and without developmental disabilities, using standardized and non-standardized assessment instruments, as part of the research protocol.

Inform parents of their child’s assessment results and make appropriate referrals and recommendations when necessary. Prepare written summary of assessment in a timely manner.

Assist with the development of coding schema, code data, and maintain reliability on all coding schema.

Score research assessments, check scoring, and enter data into databases.

Support manuscript and grant preparations by conducting literature searches, developing bibliography and reference pages; and editing and formatting documents.

Conduct high-density diffuse optical tomography (HD-DOT) experiments, perform preprocessing and analysis of HD-DOT data, and perform routine maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Rehabilitation, Psychology, Special Education, or a specified field of learning is required.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 2 years research experience required.
Experience with infant, toddler, and preschool aged autistic individuals desired.

Minimum Pay Range

USD $40,043.12/Yr.

Maximum Pay Range

USD $66,204.53/Yr.
