Insurance Verification Specialist

Pay From $23.00 per hour

• 5+ years of experience working with verifying health insurance benefits including Medicaid and Medicare
• Obtaining authorizations prior to patients appointments
• Revenue Cycle experience
• Strong experience working with Medicaid and Medicare
• Knowledge of a sliding scale for payments of patients at a lower income level and self payers
• Ability to maximize insurance reimbursements and payments to site
• Determining deductibles and co-pays to patients and financial assistance that may be available
• Strong knowledge of HIPPA
• HS Diploma or GED

• Verify patient's coverages prior to appointments thru Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payers
• Identify patient coverage needs and review sliding scale of payments with lower income patients and patients with no insurance coverage
• Obtain pre-authorizations
• Determine co-pays and deductibles due
• Ensure maximum reimbursements for services thru insurance
• Discuss financial options for patients
• Completes forms and maintain logs
• Enter and verify patient data
