Radiographer - MRI PRN Job Baltimore area,Maryland USA,Healthcare

Position: Radiographer - MRI PRN (Less than 20 hours weekly)

Performs a variety of routine and specialized technical procedures. Performs examinations in accordance with the established MRI protocols and procedures. Ensures a smooth operational and productive workflow; and other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
One year of related experience preferred
Health Care Provider CPR certification
Licensure from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental as a Medical Radiation Technologist
Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Advanced certification in MRI is preferred

Essential Job Functions

Demonstrates clinical competence in all section protocols established by the radiologists. Applies detailed knowledge of anatomy in order to produce images of high quality.

Assists in mentoring of new technologists and other support staff.

Pleasantly greets and introduces self to patients, verifies their identification and the correctness of the examination to be performed.

Explains examination to the patient and family, if present.

Ensures any required consent forms are signed prior to the examination.

Prepares contrast media and administer to patient either intravenously or through other body cavities. Always assess the patient’s condition prior to administering a contrast media or performing the MRI examination.

Positions patient for the proper MRI examination and instruct patient as to the proper physiological requirements for the procedure.

Total Rewards

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
