The Concierge is often the initial contact and first impression for Grand Oaks. Responsible for greeting potential residents, families, and visitors; managing internal and external calls; taking and communicating messages; and providing community information in support of the Director of Community Sales and Executive Director.
Other responsibilities include assisting the Business Manager with computer data entry, general administrative duties, and monitoring the Bistro area for refreshments, cleanliness, music, and a pleasant atmosphere.
Work Location and ScheduleWashington D.C.
PRN/ Casual – as needed status
Rotating Shift, weekends required: 8am-4:30pm and 4:30pm-9pm
Key Responsibilities- Greet and engage potential residents, families, and visitors.
- Manage internal and external calls, take and communicate messages.
- Provide community information and support marketing and sales efforts.
- Assist Business Manager with data entry and general administrative duties.
- Monitor Bistro area to ensure cleanliness, music, and a pleasant atmosphere.
- Handle multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organizational, time‑management, and follow‑through skills.
- Accurate record‑keeping ability.
- Good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Windows Outlook, Excel) and Grand Oaks applications.
- For Grand Oaks vehicle drivers, review and sign the Driver job description.
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- Proven customer service experience.
Minimum $20.00/hour – Maximum $20.00/hour.
