  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1310–$1410/week
  • Shift Options: 8-hour evening (15:00–23:30) or 3x12-hour day (07:00–19:30); manager may consider 8-hour day (07:00–15:30) or night (23:00–07:30)
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Every Other Weekend: Required
  • Holidays: As scheduled
  • Floating: Required to all specialties with radiology and cardiac monitoring within the facility and to sister facilities as needed
  • Orientation: 24 hours
Qualifications /

Job Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in radiology or cardiac monitoring, or related field (monitor tech, radiology monitor tech, cardiology monitor tech)
  • Active Maryland license or Compact State license if applicable (RNs welcome if they meet monitor tech requirements)
  • Certifications:

    BLS (AHA required); CCI CRAT or NTA accepted
  • Epic (Epic EMR) charting experience required
  • Proven ability to interpret ECG/EKG and identify arrhythmias (AFib, VTach, heart blocks, etc.)
  • Comfortable floating to all units with radiology or cardiac monitoring and to sister facilities
  • Available for every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Two satisfactory professional references required
  • First-time travelers accepted; RNs with strong radiology/cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation experience will be considered if they meet all requirements
Core Responsibilities
  • Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac and radiology rhythms for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients
  • Set up and maintain radiology and cardiac monitoring equipment (3-lead, 5-lead, Lead II, MCL 1, pacemaker monitoring)
  • Identify and respond to arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, heart blocks, and other dysrhythmias
  • Perform ECG/EKG strip acquisition, maintain accurate rhythm strips, and document findings in Epic
  • Troubleshoot alarms and perform routine equipment maintenance (cleaning, battery changes, lead placement troubleshooting)
  • Communicate rhythm changes and critical findings promptly to nursing and physician teams
  • Adhere to isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and facility policy while floating across units
