Sterile Processor Supervisor - Certified

Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and six or more years of sterile processing experience.
- Or High School Diploma or equivalent and four or more years of sterile processing experience and an advanced certification in sterile processing.
- Or Associate's degree in sterile processing or related clinical field and four or more years of sterile processing experience.
License:
- Certification from a recognized body in sterile processing is required.
Certifications:
- Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification is required.
- Certifications such as Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) or Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) are preferred but not required.
- Advanced certification in sterile processing is preferred.
Must Have:
- Experience in supervising sterile processing staff.
- Knowledge of cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation.
- Ability to monitor and report on quality and productivity within the department.
Description:
Responsible for supervising employees during assigned shifts in sterile processing.
Oversee duties related to cleaning, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instrumentation.
Ensure proper storage and transport of surgical sets and patient care equipment.
Incorporate safety and customer service expectations into daily operations.
Provide education and training on case picking.
Coordinate transportation of borrowed instruments and equipment.
Facilitate communication among all parties involved in the transportation process.
Coordinate attendance at educational programs and facilitate staff learning.
Ensure timely use of measurement tools to monitor departmental quality and productivity.
