General Description
We are excited that you are interested in applying for the Johns Hopkins Speech Language Pathology Acute Care Clinical Fellowship Program, a full‑time paid clinical fellowship. The program provides a supportive and challenging learning environment that fosters the growth of clinical fellows in becoming experts in the field of medical speech pathology.

- Applicant must be eligible for a limited license in Maryland and work in the United States without visa sponsorship by the PMR department.
- The ability to analyze and synthesize information from a broad-based fund of knowledge in medical communication and swallowing science and disorders.
- A problem‑solving attitude of inquiry and decision making based on evidence‑based practice.
- Motivation to achieve an advanced level of clinical competency in prevention, screening, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with medical communication and swallowing disorders.
- The ability to communicate effectively and professionally in a multidisciplinary health setting.
- Self‑evaluation resulting in active steps to develop new skills and acquire knowledge.
- Ethical, responsible, and professional conduct.
