Job Overview
A 13‑week travel assignment for a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) at a facility in Baltimore, Maryland. The role requires a valid state dietitian license, BLS certification, and at least one year of recent dietitian experience. Travel assignment with 40 hours per week, 8‑hour days, starting ASAP. Responsibilities- Evaluate appropriateness of diet orders and recommend changes as required.
- Instruct patients and families on dietary principles, restrictions, and strategies to achieve health goals per physician diet orders.
- Conduct patient visitations including screening for nutrition concerns related to malnutrition, tube feeding, TPN, and disease‑specific diets.
- Develop personalized nutrition plans and implement interventions based on the patient’s current health status.
- Monitor effectiveness of nutrition plans, adjusting as needed to improve outcomes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and aides.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for RDNs.
- One year of recent experience as a registered dietitian.
- Valid dietitian license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- Preferred Cer.
A.T (ASATT). - Other certifications and licenses relevant to the position.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
- Physical abilities: able to remain stationary, move about, lift or move equipment 50‑100 lbs, push, pull, and bend.
- Interpersonal skills: able to work effectively with a variety of personnel and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
- Technical and motor skills: fine manipulation, push/pull, and manual handling during procedures or use of department equipment.
- Mental requirements: manage frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision or independently, handle irregular activity schedules, maintain concentration to detail.
- Sensory requirements: visual acuity and effective communication.
