General Summary of Position

Med Star Health is looking for a Rehabilitation Technician to join our team at Harbor Hospital. The ideal candidate will have customer service skills for interacting with patients, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds. The Rehabilitation Technician performs a variety of clerical and patient care duties essential to the daily operation. These duties include assisting with medical record operations, greeting, registering, and escorting patients, completing set-ups and clean-up for patient care, and performing other duties as determined by the therapist.

Primary Duties
  • Greets all patients professionally and communicates effectively with patients, families, and the rehabilitation team. Informs the therapist of patient arrival and escorts the patient as needed.
  • Prepares treatment rooms and areas for evaluations and treatment.
  • Maintains effective time management, is punctual, and maintains an accurate daily schedule.
  • Assists with patient treatment as directed by the therapist, including exercise programs, ambulation, transfer activities, and ADLs.
  • Stocks linen cabinets, maintains clinical supply levels, and assists with equipment maintenance and cleaning.
  • Performs administrative and clerical duties, including preparing schedules, answering phones, and participating in meetings.
  • Recognizes safety issues and communicates patient condition changes to the appropriate professionals.
  • Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Related job experience preferred.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days.
    • 1-year certificate from college or technical school preferred.

    This position offers a hiring range of $18 - $28.73. It is an entry-level, part-time role in the healthcare provider industry, specifically within hospitals and healthcare services.
