Medical Assistant

United Urology Group seeks a skilled Medical Assistant to support clinical care, assist physicians, and maintain a safe and organized practice environment.

• Prepare daily exam rooms and stock supplies for patient care.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, take vital signs, and obtain urine specimens.
• Perform dip and automated urinalysis and microscopically review specimens when indicated.
• Triage patient calls for pharmacy requests, test results, medical questions, and concerns as directed by the physician; document outcomes in the EHR.
• Assist in maintaining logs and records for OSHA/MOSHA.
• Follow sterilization and disinfection practices throughout the facility.
• Adhere to bio‑hazardous or red bag waste policy for proper disposal of biomedical waste.
• Welcome and greet patients and visitors in person or over the phone.

• Travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic region as required.

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or at least one year of Medical Assistant experience in a medical clinic.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (verified prior to employment).
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Experience in urology is a plus.
• Proficiency in triaging patients, phlebotomy, administering injections, obtaining vitals, and processing specimens.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD, and CPT codes.
• Proficient computer and database skills.
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in patient inquiry and probing questions.
• Ability to multitask, solve problems proactively, and maintain professionalism.
• Hipaa compliance and a caring, compassionate attitude toward patients.

• Ability to listen, sit, stand, bend, stoop, and walk throughout the day.
• Frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Good physical condition to maneuver patients when necessary.

Pay range: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, skill level, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by state or region in accordance with applicable laws.
