The OpportunityWe are seeking a 911 Diversion Mental Health Therapist to join Baltimore Crisis Response, Inc. (BCRI) as part of the on‑site team at the Baltimore City Police Department’s 911 Call Center. In this role, you’ll help transform how our city responds to behavioral health emergencies and be a calm presence in moments of crisis. You’ll assess high‑acuity behavioral health calls, provide crisis counseling, suicide prevention and safety planning, and coordinate with police, EMS, and mobile crisis teams to ensure individuals receive the right level of care.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Answer and assess high‑acuity behavioral health calls.
- Provide crisis counseling, suicide prevention and safety planning.
- Coordinate with police, EMS, and mobile crisis teams for the right level of care.
- Maryland LGPC or LMSW license (required); LCPC/LCSW‑C (preferred).
- 2+ years as a counseling professional (preferred).
- Strong crisis intervention skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
