The Research Project Coordinator administrativelycoordinates research protocol implementation, typically for asingle study. Will ensure efficient logistical implementation ofthe study activities and provide administrative support for all related issues.
The Research Project Coordinator will help to coordination of alarge epidemiologic cohort study. Primary duties include tracking,scheduling, and coordination related to scientific review of proposals and working groups. They will also assist with studycommunication, answering emails, quality assurance reviews,scheduling meetings, taking meeting notes, tracking documentation,and other study administrative tasks.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities- Coordinate all activities of a research study to ensurevalidity of findings.
- Work with the Principal Investigator or senior research staffto develop operational plans to meet research goals.
- Develop tools and procedures for data collection and study processes.
- Collect and organize data per study requirements, e.g.participant interviews, administer questionnaires; conductbackground research, laboratory processing, etc.
- Ensure adherence to protocols and procedures.
- Assist with setup of data collection system and enter and organize data.
- Oversee record management for research study.
- Oversee budget expenditures for study operations.
- Assist in coordinating study meetings.
- Participate in study meetings and provide updates on protocolimplementation status and make recommendations on operational issues.
- Conduct literature searches to provide backgroundinformation.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Coordination of scientific proposal review.
- Reviewing and tracking study documents, emailingreminders.
- Administrative support for meetings with scheduling, notes, and assembling agendas.
- Answering central inbox questions and requests.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extentpermitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing.
Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
