10 LOCATION OF POSITION MDH, Allegany County Health Department, Cumberland, MD Main Purpose of Job This position will provide entry-level paraprofessional services to Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) clients. This position includes using the data system (WIC on the Web or WOW) in order to determine eligibility. This position will also include health assessments, sharing basic nutrition information, assigning food packages and distributing WIC checks to participants.
- Education : Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
- Experience : None.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the WIC program from either personal or professional experience.
- Personal breastfeeding experience to better serve clients.

*** LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
