Lab Tech / Assistant, Medical Technologist & Lab Technician
We are seeking a Laboratory Technician in the department of Otolaryngology. The Laboratory Technician performs routine laboratory processes and follows routine protocols under close supervision.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities- Operate standard equipment.
- Use standard procedures for specific laboratory tests and preparation techniques.
- Assist with laboratory maintenance, prepare solutions, and order supplies.
- Identify and report problems in the completion of routine lab processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
In addition to the duties above
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, present data summaries, identify and resolve common problems, and use basic analytical skills to implement assigned projects.
- Use basic laboratory skills, processing, storing, labeling, and identifying study samples.
- High school diploma or graduation equivalent.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
- Some science coursework and/or training certificate from a technical institute.
