Nurse Practitioner; Part-Time​/Regular

The University of Maryland, Baltimore, Department of Obstetrics,Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide senior-level leadership for clinical training operations within the Maryland Abortion and Reproductive Clinical Health (MARCH) Program.

This position will oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of clinical curriculum,simulation-based education, trainee clinical experiences, and training site readiness to support a statewide training program.

Responsibilities will include overseeing clinical simulation activities, supporting trainee-to-site matching, monitoring training quality and outcomes, providing guidance to clinical training sites, and serving as the primary clinical escalation point for site-based issues.

• Oversees the clinical research projects or clinical trials and assigned staff to ensure compliance with study protocols and overall clinical objectives. Supports research by developing clinical research questions, conducting and participating in research projects or clinical trials, and disseminating and incorporating findings into practice.
• Oversees study and research related documentation development and distribution. Develops, recommends, modifies, and implements policies and procedure, and/or methods of clinical research to meet changing needs and requirements and enforces standards. Effectively executes clinical elements of research protocol conduct based on policies and procedures. Identifies protocol or patient problems,informs investigators of problems, and resolves problems by making protocol modifications or adjustments to care plans.
• Perform Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) protocol development and ensures compliance of research operations with protocols with all relevant local, federal, and state regulatory and institutional policies.
• Identifies and prepares research grants, publications inmedical and nursing literature, study materials, brochures, and correspondence.
• Serves as a clinical training and curriculum lead for astatewide abortion and reproductive health training program,providing advanced clinical, educational, operational, and research expertise to support curriculum development, simulation-based training, clinical site readiness, APC mentorship, program evaluation, and dissemination of training outcomes. The role functions as a dedicated clinical link between program leadership,curriculum teams, project management staff, clinical training sites, faculty, preceptors, and trainees to support program growth,quality, and alignment with grant goals and evaluation metrics.
