Therapist/Clinician – Outpatient Mental Health Center

Position Type:
Full Time Salary: $60,000 – $70,000
The Children’s Guild is seeking a passionate, emerging clinician to join our Outpatient Mental Health Center (OMHC). The role involves providing individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents while contributing to a trauma‑informed, evidence‑based clinical team across multiple sites.
Responsibilities- Provide individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents with diverse mental‑health needs.
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence‑based interventions such as CBT, TF‑CBT, and play therapy under clinical supervision.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with COMAR, HIPAA, and agency standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including psychiatrists, case managers, and school staff.
- Engage families as active partners in the therapeutic process.
- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- 11 or 12 months salaried positions with benefits and generous time off.
- Per‑session option available.
- Clinical consultation groups and ongoing free training with CEUs for licensure.
- Orientation and training modules before starting, with ongoing mentoring and support.
- Provided device and phone; not on‑call.
- Individual and group supervision toward advanced licensure (LMSW, LGPC).
- Sign‑on bonus of $6,000 distributed over 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field (required).
- Graduate licensure in Maryland or D.C. (LMSW, LGPC, or equivalent); candidates awaiting licensure encouraged to apply.
- Genuine passion for working with children, adolescents, and families.
- Basic knowledge of trauma‑informed care and evidence‑based therapeutic modalities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
- Clinical supervision toward full licensure (LCSW, LCPC).
