Therapist/Clinician – Outpatient Mental Health Center

Overview

The Children’s Guild is seeking a passionate, emerging clinician to join our Outpatient Mental Health Center (OMHC). The role involves providing individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents while contributing to a trauma‑informed, evidence‑based clinical team across multiple sites.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents with diverse mental‑health needs.
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence‑based interventions such as CBT, TF‑CBT, and play therapy under clinical supervision.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with COMAR, HIPAA, and agency standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including psychiatrists, case managers, and school staff.
  • Engage families as active partners in the therapeutic process.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field (required).
  • Graduate licensure in Maryland or D.C. (LMSW, LGPC, or equivalent); candidates awaiting licensure encouraged to apply.
  • Genuine passion for working with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Basic knowledge of trauma‑informed care and evidence‑based therapeutic modalities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
