Job Summary:

Provide expert nutritional assessment and counseling to adult and geriatric patients in a short-term acute care setting. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized dietary plans ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' nutritional needs through clinical assessment and chart review.
• Develop and adjust nutritional care plans aligned with medical directives.
• Educate patients and families on dietary modifications and nutrition management.
• Document interventions and progress accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Participate in care team meetings to coordinate patient treatment strategies.
• Comply with hospital policies, licensure requirements, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Dietitian experience in a healthcare setting.
• Short-term acute care experience preferred.
• Valid Maryland or Compact licensure required at the time of application.
• Ability to work day shifts with flexible weekend coverage.
• Strong communication and documentation skills essential.
