OverviewThe Clinical Training Program Manager plays a crucial role in developing, implementing, and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of staff working within the behavioral health division. This position is designed to ensure that staff are well-equipped to provide high-quality mental health and enabling services, with a specific focus on equitable and inclusive clinical practices. The Clinical Training Program Manager will serve as the conduit for academic programs seeking to place interns with the agency and provide clinical supervision to students.
This position will provide direct supervision for early career clinicians and student interns, participating in recruitment, hiring , and evaluation . In addition, this position provides clinical care for up to two sessions per week.
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of a behavioral health training program. Deliver trainings to providers within the behavioral health division that are grounded in evidence-based practices and align with divisional priorities and provider learning needs.
- Stay abreast of the latest research, trends, and best practices in behavioral health to ensure training content is current and relevant.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments and measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate with other behavioral health professionals across the agency to create comprehensive and effective training materials. Customize training programs based on the unique requirements and goals of different organizations and funders.
- Maintain standards for provision of CEU in accordance with social work and professional counselor licensing boards for the state of MD. Track and issue CEU for training participants as appropriate .
- Provide direct supervision for early career clinicians and student interns and partner with the Senior Director of Behavioral Health in the recruitment, hiring, and evaluation of behavioral health staff and interns.
- Provide clinical services to a small caseload of clients for up to two sessions per week. Provide clinical coverage for staff as indicated.
- Completes documentation of services in a legible manner in accordance with established formats and required time frames within the client’s electronic health record . Ensure that documentation accurately reflects billable services provided .
- Models and reinforces the Health Care for the Homeless “core values” of dignity, authenticity, hope, justice, passion and balance
- Actively participates in performance improvement activities and actively participates in advocacy activities that support the mission of Health Care for the Homeless
- Performs other duties on an as-needed basis
- Protects our client’s personal health information by maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other relevant Health Care related IT security regulations
