The Opportunity

We are seeking a Residential Therapist to join our team at Baltimore Crisis Response, Inc. In this role, you’ll provide crisis intervention, behavioral stabilization, and short-term counseling to individuals experiencing mental health or substance use challenges.

You’ll conduct assessments, develop person-centered treatment plans, and collaborate with nurses, peer specialists, and community partners to ensure coordinated, continuous care. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping individuals find stability and support in times of crisis.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide a full range of crisis and behavior stabilization services supporting clients with a variety of behavioral health needs.
  • Conduct behavioral health assessments for individuals in crisis and/or who are experiencing high acuity behavioral health symptoms.
  • In collaboration with the individual receiving care, peer recovery specialist, nurse, and other professional team members, develop a person-centered treatment plan with sustainable goals, realistic strategies, with identified supports and intervention(s).
  • Coordinate with system partners such as hospitals and other community organizations for direct admission to residential units and necessary assessments / evaluations.
  • Collaborate with team members to support assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, and outpatient counseling activities for the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion program.
  • Using established mechanisms / processes, refer individuals to outpatient facilities and for support services and continuation of care following discharge in collaboration with unit case management.
  • Provide short-term limited, evidence-based counseling for both individual and group settings.
  • Coordinate and act as a liaison as assigned and appropriate for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate adherence to company policies and expectations and behavioral competencies, both explicit and implicit.
  • Occasional travel to off-site meetings or other engagements possible
  • All tasks, projects, and/or duties as assigned and authorized, as determined by Direct Supervisor (or designated delegate) to be congruent with the role.
Qualifications Qualifications
  • Master's in Clinical Psychology (MA or MS), Required, OR master’s in social work (MSW), Required
Additional
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license, Required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products, Required
  • Proficiency and familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, Preferred
Credentials
  • Current LMSW, LGPC, LCPC or LCSW-C licensure in Maryland, Required
  • Current BLS Certification, and/or LCADC preferred
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in crisis response and mental health services.
