The Assistant Director, Policy and Analytics Unit serves as the primary pharmacy-related policy expert for the Maryland Department of Health Office of Pharmacy Services. This position oversees the Policy and Analytics Unit, Pharmacists Professional Services, and Clinical Services Divisions, and is responsible for developing drug coverage policies using drug utilization trends, cost containment measures, and budget forecasting. The role requires high-level pharmacy expertise to initiate and execute strategic projects and is eligible for hybrid telework.
Keyqualifications:
- Valid Maryland Pharmacist license and Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm
D) degree from an accredited college or university - Six years of professional management experience, including three years supervising professional staff
- Three years of professional experience in clinical pharmacy and one of: overseeing unit operations, data analytics, applying regulations, or developing policies
- Two years of experience monitoring emerging drug technologies and implementing drug coverage policies
- Two years of outcome/cost-based studies experience
- Two years of experience planning and implementing innovative ideas in the pharmacy arena
