Substance Abuse Counselor

Our clients is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor in the Baltimore area.

Must be licensed in Maryland as ADT or CAC-AD or CSC-AD

• Full-time or Part-time ALL SCHEDULES AVAILABLE
• Immediate Start

• Facilitate behavioral health treatment groups. Email Office Manager attendance after each group.
• Provide individual sessions for clients on a case-by-case basis when clients need extra support.
• Complete Biopsychosocial assessments and all documentation pertaining to it.
• Document client attendance, group topic, and client participation in file after each group. Complete documentation within 24 hours of services provided.
• Document any other contact with client or case management done, such as individual sessions or outside referrals.
• Complete all discharge paperwork within seven days of the date of discharge.
• Address urinalysis or breathalyzer results with clients as needed and record results in Electronic Health Record (EHR) and on monthly reports.
• Review and update treatment plans in compliance with time frames set by ADI policy.
• Provide person-centered treatment which tailors treatment to each client's individual needs.
• Provide culturally competent treatment and case management.

• Maryland license as a CAC-AD; or CSC-AD; with the State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.
• Previous experience in counseling, social work, or other related field.

• Establish a relationship with one of the nation's largest referral agencies for behavioral-health
