Position Overview:
We are seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) to join our team. This role involves providing peer support to individuals navigating their recovery journey, utilizing lived experience to inspire hope and facilitate healing.
- Offer peer support based on personal recovery experience.
- Assist clients in accessing community resources and services.
- Support clients in developing and achieving personal recovery goals.
- Facilitate group and individual sessions to promote recovery and wellness.
- Document services provided in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Certification:
Must possess a current Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) certification through the Maryland Addiction & Behavioral-Health Professionals Certification Board (MABPCB) at the time of hire. - Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of personal recovery in mental health or substance use. - Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. - Skills:
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. - Additional Requirements:
Valid Maryland driver's license and reliable transportation.
