Sign on Bonus $10,000 About the Unit & Role

Sinai Hospital's Respiratory Care Services team supports every high-acuity unit in Maryland's largest community hospital, from the NICU and PICU to the Emergency Department and Level II Trauma Center. As a Respiratory Therapist (also known as a Respiratory Care Practitioner), you'll manage ventilators, run airways during codes, and drive the respiratory plan of care across the full acuity spectrum, working at the top of your license alongside pulmonologists, intensivists, and surgeons.

Responsibilities

Own the respiratory plan of care for patients across NICU, PICU, ICU, ED, and inpatient units, adjusting therapy based on real‑time clinical response

Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and the full range of therapeutic gas delivery independently

Drive airway management during rapid response and code events, including intubation and arterial line insertion

Extend your reach across interdisciplinary teams, partnering with pulmonologists, intensivists, and surgeons as a recognized clinical expert

Keep documentation accurate and timely, tracking assessments and interventions that inform the care team's next move

Qualifications

Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure required

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care required within 1 year of hire;
Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRT) working toward RRT will be considered

Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care required;
Bachelor's preferred

1-3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations encouraged to apply

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire; ACLS and PALS required within 1 year of hire

Strong clinical judgment and a team-first approach to patient care
