Shore Staffing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maryland-licensed Psychology Associate to conduct specialized psychological and forensic evaluations for adolescents throughout Maryland. This is a PRN, flexible opportunity designed for clinicians with strong psychological assessment, testing, clinical interviewing, and report-writing experience. Evaluations may include Transfer/Waiver (TOJ) Psychological Evaluations and Psychosexual Evaluations involving court-involved adolescents. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting comprehensive evaluations that integrate psychological testing, clinical interviews, collateral information, behavioral and treatment history, risk factors, and diagnostic findings into clear, well-supported, court-quality reports.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychological and forensic evaluations of adolescents.
Complete Transfer/Waiver (TOJ) Psychological Evaluations and Psychosexual Evaluations, based on qualifications and experience.
Conduct comprehensive clinical and forensic interviews with youth.
Interview parents/guardians, treatment providers, and other collateral contacts when required.
Review and integrate extensive collateral documentation, including educational, medical, behavioral health, treatment, social, and legal records.
Administer, score, and interpret appropriate psychological, cognitive, behavioral, personality, trauma, and risk-assessment instruments.
Assess developmental, behavioral, emotional, cognitive, family, trauma, substance-use, and treatment history.
Evaluate relevant risk and protective factors, including risk of harm to self or others, recidivism concerns, treatment needs, and community-based versus higher-level treatment considerations when applicable.
For psychosexual evaluations, assess relevant sexual behavior history, treatment needs, risk factors, protective factors, and other clinically appropriate areas using validated assessment methods.
Integrate interview findings, testing results, collateral information, behavioral observations, and clinical judgment into comprehensive written reports.
Develop appropriate DSM-5-TR diagnostic impressions, clinical formulations, treatment recommendations, and recommendations regarding level of care when applicable.
Prepare clear, detailed, objective, and defensible reports appropriate for review by multidisciplinary teams and legal/court professionals.
Complete evaluations and reports within required contractual timelines.
Participate in clinical consultation and case review with the supervising Maryland-licensed Psychologist.
Make required revisions or clarifications following clinical or quality-assurance review.
Be available to discuss findings and provide testimony regarding completed evaluations when required.
Active Maryland Psychology Associate license in good standing.
Graduate degree in psychology from an appropriately accredited program.
Demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations.
Strong experience administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological assessment instruments.
Excellent clinical interviewing and diagnostic assessment skills.
Demonstrated ability to produce thorough, well-organized psychological evaluation reports that clearly connect assessment findings to clinical conclusions and recommendations.
Ability to synthesize large amounts of collateral, clinical, testing, and legal information.
Strong understanding of DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria.
Ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of a Maryland-licensed Psychologist, including clinical consultation and report review/sign-off as required.
