Position Overview
The Front Office Agent welcomes guests, manages check‑in/out, provides service, and supports the hotel’s goals and mission.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service and telephone etiquette and strive to reach department and property defined goals and objectives.
- Host and welcome guests with a friendly and sincere demeanor.
- Assist with guest check‑in and check‑out processes, including folios, invoicing, and billing.
- Think creatively to solve guest stay opportunities and take ownership of service issues.
- Go above and beyond to recover any service opportunity and exceed guest expectations.
- Communicate and partner with all department leaders and hourly associates to ensure the guest experience is personalized and executed seamlessly.
- Maintain proper record‑keeping for guest accounts and be knowledgeable about hotel services and local surroundings to answer guests’ questions and requests.
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Minimum of two years experience in a hotel operations environment.
- Minimum of two years experience in customer service.
- Basic math skills and the ability to accurately handle billing.
- Strong communication skills; able to speak, read, write, and understand English well.
- Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; daily use of nearly all programs.
Position requires walking and standing most of the working day, with up to 6 hours of mobility. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs., bend, stoop, squat, stretch, and perform repetitive motions.
CompensationThe pay scale for the Front Office Agent position is $20 per hour; this reflects the base hourly wage and does not include incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, or similar forms of compensation that Montage may reasonably expect to pay.
