The main purpose of this full-time position will be to learn to recruit health programmatic and operational professional, paraprofessional and administrative resources for all vacant positions with the Maryland Department of Health.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Learning to review applicants for minimum qualifications, learning test construction (with input of hiring programs);
- Learning applicant scoring;
- Learning certified list construction;
- Learning Job Aps (online recruitment system);
- Attending job fairs/networking events with senior staff, online and print advertising and media planning; and
- Participation in ongoing Departmental branding/marketing efforts.
This position will also learn to perform minimum qualification verifications for new MDH hires. Additionally, this position will require some travel for training, auditing, interview panels or to perform other necessary duties.
Please Note:
This position may be eligible for Hybrid Telework with supervisory approval.
Experience:
Four years of professional HR management work experience in the areas of recruitment, classification, salary administration, employee relations, test development and validation or as a generalist.

- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
