Human Resources Business Partner

CSP has partnered with a local nonprofit organization in search of an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). This strategic HR role will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, compliance, and organizational development initiatives.

The HRBP will partner closely with department leaders to drive employee engagement, support talent strategies, manage complex employee relations matters, and help foster a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders and employees to interpret and apply HR policies, procedures, employment laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on performance management, employee coaching, corrective action, disciplinary processes, and documentation.
• Support employee engagement, retention, productivity, and workplace culture initiatives.
• Conduct employee relations investigations, provide recommendations, facilitate conflict resolution, and collaborate with legal counsel when necessary.
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, organizational restructuring, and change management initiatives.
• Collaborate with HR and business leaders to develop and deliver employee training and development programs.
• Review and recommend updates to HR policies, procedures, standard operating practices, and employee handbook content.
• Analyze employee feedback and survey data to identify trends and recommend organizational improvement strategies.
• Build strong relationships across assigned business units and serve as a visible HR resource for employees and leadership.
• Mentor and provide guidance to HR team members to ensure consistent application of policies and best practices.
• Support new employee orientation and onboarding initiatives.
• Represent the organization in unemployment hearings and other employment-related proceedings as needed.
• Serve as backup support for HRBP team members and provide seamless coverage across assigned departments.

Qualifications

• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources Generalist or Human Resources Business Partner experience.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, employment law, and HR compliance.
• Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations and resolving complex employee relations matters.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or formal training in mediation and conflict resolution.
• Experience supporting organizations within healthcare, academic, research, nonprofit, or mission-driven environments.
