Position Summary

CFG Bank's 2027 Summer Internship Program offers Human Resources majors the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience supporting the people, culture, and talent initiatives that drive organizational success. This internship is designed for students who are interested in learning how Human Resources partners with leaders and employees to attract talent, develop employees, foster engagement, and support an exceptional workplace experience.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

About the Internship:

From day one, summer interns are immersed in CFG’s entrepreneurial and tenacious company culture, gaining hands‑on experience through:

  • Comprehensive orientation and ongoing workshops to foster learning and development.
  • Meaningful work assignments that provide practical experience in talent, culture, and employee‑focused initiatives.
  • Exposure to a variety of HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, learning and development, and HR operations.
  • Career development opportunities with guidance from corporate leaders, including internship managers, senior mentors, and program coordinators.
  • Opportunities to strengthen communication, relationship‑building, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • A collaborative and supportive environment where interns are encouraged to ask questions, contribute ideas, and take ownership of their learning.
  • Professional development experiences focused on workplace communication, leadership, teamwork, professionalism, and the employee lifecycle.
General Responsibilities
  • Assisting with recruiting efforts, candidate communications, interview coordination, and talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Supporting onboarding activities and helping create positive experiences for new hires and interns.
  • Assisting with employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and culture‑building activities.
  • Conducting research on HR trends, best practices, workforce topics, and employee experience initiatives.
  • Supporting training, learning and development, and professional growth programs.
  • Assisting with communications, presentations, reports, and HR‑related projects.
  • Collaborating with employees and leaders across departments to support organizational objectives.
  • Shadowing HR professionals and business leaders to gain a broad understanding of talent management and organizational effectiveness.
  • Preparing and presenting a final project or reflection that highlights internship experience, key learnings, and professional growth.
Qualifications And Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, Communications, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in Human Resources, talent acquisition, employee experience, learning and development, organizational development, or workplace culture.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
