Overview

You will build, sustain, and troubleshoot complex operational data flows tied to mission operations. Your work will span data storage, transport, management, security, compliance, and knowledge store management. You will partner with the mission customer to perform exploratory data analysis, then clean, enrich, transform, and convert raw data into required formats.
You will improve reliability and distribution across existing operational pipelines.
Location: NBP
Schedule: 40 hours per week, normal day shift hours
Telework: Not available
Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Create, sustain, and troubleshoot operational data flows across mission systems
- Manage data storage, transport, management, security, compliance, and knowledge stores
- Use Apache NiFi canvas to process, route, and distribute data at scale
- Partner with mission users to explore raw data and confirm formatting needs
- Clean, enrich, transform, and convert raw data into mission-ready formats
- Improve pipeline reliability, distribution, and performance through iterative enhancements
- Implement infrastructure automation using Ansible and IaC principles
- Monitor pipeline health and platform behavior using observability tooling
- Track work, document changes, and coordinate delivery using Jira and Confluence
Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Education and ExperienceQualification options:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, plus 5 years of SWE experience on similar scope programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, plus 7 years of SWE experience on similar scope programs
- 9 years of SWE experience on similar scope programs in lieu of a degree
- Linux command line proficiency
- Experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows
- Strong Apache NiFi experience, including building and maintaining NiFi canvas pipelines
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code principles and automation tools, including Ansible
- Experience with Atlassian tools, Jira and Confluence
- General HPC knowledge across compute, network, memory, and storage components
- Experience with corporate data flow processes and supporting tool chains
- Experience with corporate data security and compliance procedures and policies
- Scripting experience using Bash and Python
