Freedom Technology Solutions Group (FTSG) is seeking an experienced SharePoint Farm Engineer to support U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) in maintaining and remediating a SharePoint 2019 farm hosted within a Linux-based Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) environment
.
This position is focused on SharePoint farm-level administration and server-side troubleshooting following a migration from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2019
. The environment is experiencing degraded functionality due to broken event receivers and legacy customizations
, and USCYBERCOM is seeking a senior-level engineer who can identify, repair, and stabilize the farm.
- Administer and support a SharePoint 2019 farm at the server and farm level
- Diagnose and fix event receivers, features, and custom solutions broken during the SharePoint 2013 → 2019 migration
- Perform SharePoint farm health checks and environment scans
- Identify deprecated or incompatible customizations and third-party components
- Use Power Shell extensively for farm configuration, troubleshooting, and remediation
- Validate service applications, web applications, timer jobs, and dependencies
- Support SharePoint running on Linux-based IaaS infrastructure
- Ensure farm stability, performance, and compliance with USCYBERCOM requirements
- Document findings, fixes, and recommended improvements
- Collaborate with FTSG and government technical teams
- Strong hands‑on experience as a SharePoint Farm / Server Engineer
- Deep expertise with SharePoint Server 2013 and 2019
- Advanced SharePoint Power Shell skills
- Proven experience troubleshooting farm-level issues, event receivers, and custom solutions
- Experience supporting SharePoint in IaaS or hybrid environments
- Ability to work independently in a secure, mission‑critical environment
- TS/SCI with Polygraph
- A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and twelve (12) years of experience in software development/engineering (or sixteen [16] years in lieu of a degree)
- At least eight (8) years of experience with Share Point
- Extensive knowledge of Linux
- Ability to work during core hours of 10 AM–2 PM (exceptions will be considered on a case‑by‑case basis)
- Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community customers (USCYBERCOM preferred)
- Experience performing post‑migration remediation
- Familiarity with SharePoint security hardening and STIG compliance
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
