Extensive Experience in EDI
We are seeking an experienced EDI Systems Analyst to support Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations for a Healthcare Exchange/Medicaid marketplace. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing, validating, troubleshooting, and resolving EDI transactions including 834, 999, TA1, 820, and Medicaid 8001 files.
The role involves performing data analysis, identifying root causes of transaction rejections, resolving MDM/MPI data issues, validating 1095-A and 1095-B files, reconciling transactions, and coordinating with development, business, carrier, and vendor teams to ensure accurate EDI processing. The candidate will work closely with SQL databases, HBX systems, and EDI validation tools to provide technical data fixes and operational support. Flexibility to support after-hours and weekend work is required.
Key Responsibilities- Support day-to-day EDI operations for Healthcare Exchange systems
- Analyze and validate 834, 999, TA1, 820, and Medicaid 8001 transactions
- Perform root cause analysis for EDI file rejections from carriers and MCOs
- Validate 1095-A and 1095-B files and reconcile transaction discrepancies
- Analyze HBX system errors and provide data fixes
- Work with SQL queries to investigate and resolve data issues
- Coordinate with development, testing, business, and vendor teams
- Review companion guides and implementation documents for EDI compliance
- Perform data corrections related to MDM, MPI, and eligibility processing
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in Healthcare Exchange EDI solutions
- 4+ years working with EDI X12 transaction sets (834, 999, TA1)
- 4+ years analyzing and testing healthcare marketplace data solutions
- 2+ years of SQL experience
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- 6+ years of EDI validation tool experience (Edifecs, WTX, etc.)
- Experience with ACA eligibility and Medicaid processing
- Knowledge of Medicaid 8001 file processing
- Strong experience with 834 enrollment transactions (Add, Change, Termination, Cancellation)
- Experience writing complex SQL scripts
