IT Support Technician (contract to hire)

An established Fortune 500 company is seeking an IT Support Technician to join their team!

You will provide onsite deskside / helpdesk support & troubleshooting primarily to internal employees at Catonsville, Annapolis, and Clarksville locations. You will also be a backup Technician for their Easton, Baltimore, and White Marsh locations, as needed.

This is a 6-month contract to hire position.

This is fully onsite work.

You will use your own vehicle and get mileage reimbursement for travel between locations.

You must be able to work flexible hours, including on-call, off-hours, and/or weekend work. There are typically about 3-5 hours of overtime each week.

Responsibilities
  • Triage Level II/III Incident & Service Request tickets
  • Troubleshoot & resolve Incident tickets related to hardware, software, & the network
  • Resolve Level l Incident and Service Request tickets
  • Validate with internal customers that the Incident or Service Request has been resolved & update ITSM ticketing system
  • Interface with IT infrastructure, security, app management, database & governance teams
  • Adhere to and execute IT Security Policies, Processes & Procedures
  • Contribute to IT's Continual Service Improvement efforts
  • Complete multiple simultaneous projects & support tasks promptly
  • Perform other duties or special projects
Requirements
  • 3+ years in IT support, including helpdesk / deskside
  • Active Directory experience
  • Experience installing software & providing systems access
  • Experience validating that PCs are fully encrypted
  • Software & hardware support skills
  • Must work flexible hours, on-call, & some weekends (3-5 hours of overtime, weekly)
  • Must own a reliable vehicle, have a valid license & clean driving record
  • Must transport IT equipment between offices
  • Must use your cell phone for work calls/texts=
  • Must pass a background check & drug test (excluding THC)
