Data Engineer, Data Analyst

The Entry Level Data Engineer supports the integration and management of data systems across global manufacturing operations. This early‑career role is ideal for engineers passionate about leveraging data to improve processes and drive efficiency. Working closely with the Senior Data Engineer, the position provides hands‑on experience with SCADA systems, Unified Namespace (UNS) architecture, SAP integration, and manufacturing analytics.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong interest in manufacturing processes and data analytics.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL), programming language (Python), analytics tools (Power BI, SSRS).
- Understanding of data governance concepts is desirable.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience or familiarity with Ignition SCADA platform.
- Exposure to Unified Namespace (UNS) and ISA‑95 data modeling.
- Knowledge of industrial connectivity protocols (MQTT, OPC UA).
- Instrumentation and manufacturing process knowledge.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing analytics tools, such as Seeq.
- Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting SCADA and related data systems.
- Support data integration between SAP, SCADA, LIMS, and other plant systems.
- Contribute to the development and organization of a Unified Namespace (UNS) for real‑time data accessibility.
- Validate and monitor data accuracy for operational reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with operations and IT teams to implement data‑driven improvements.
- Support and advocate for the usage of manufacturing analytics platforms.
- Learn and apply basic analytics techniques to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
- Exposure to data governance principles and best practices for industrial data management.
- Training in AI/ML concepts for future process optimization projects.
- Hands‑on experience with manufacturing data architecture and UNS implementation.
Baltimore, Chalmette, Crockett, or possibly remote with required travel to Group locations.
