Jacobs is seeking a Special Projects Coordinator. This person will work out of the MTA’s Office of Performance Management and report to the Chief Performance Officer. The MTA’s Office of Performance Management oversees end-to-end management of data and metrics related to all aspects of MTA’s performance. This includes transit operations, planning, and administrative support functions. The Transit Analyst will coordinate with internal stakeholders on various modal operations teams to obtain datasets, write queries, create data visualization tools in Power BI, and provide ongoing training and data literacy capacity development.

The Office of Performance Management is housed within MTA’s Office of Customer Experience.

This position is hybrid with on-site work Tuesdays and Thursdays in MTA’s Downtown Baltimore office, with additional on-site work required at various MTA operations facilities throughout the Baltimore region.

• Develop and maintain tools to capture and monitor office performance.
• Conduct data and business process analyses on an ad-hoc basis.
• Create data visualization tools.
• Support development of strategic planning initiatives.
• Assist Chief Performance Officer with administrative tasks as needed.
• Conduct industry research.
• Support MTA’s participation in benchmarking groups.

• Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of relational database architecture and management
• Proficiency in scripting language such as R or Python a plus
• Proficiency in SQL a plus
• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau or other data visualization software a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $75,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
