Systems Administrator

Full-time position requiring TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance.

2HB Incorporated is seeking a Systems Administrator in Annapolis Junction, MD, to support its government customer. The role bridges traditional systems administration and modern Cloud Ops, overseeing AWS infrastructure, monitoring data flows, and ensuring security through rigorous testing.

• Cloud Infrastructure Management:
  Deploy, manage, and scale AWS resources (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda). Optimize cloud spending and ensure high availability.
• Data Orchestration:
  Maintain and optimize Apache NiFi clusters. Design and troubleshoot data routing, transformation, and system‑to‑system delivery logic.
• Security & Compliance:
  Perform regular security testing, including vulnerability scans, and assist in remediating findings to maintain a hardened security posture.
• Automation & Scripting:
  Develop scripts (Bash, Python, or Power Shell) to automate repetitive tasks and integrate security tools into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Monitoring & Support:
  Provide Tier 2/3 support for system outages and use monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

• Strong proficiency in Linux (RHEL/AL2023)
• AWS expertise:
  Proven experience managing AWS environments
• Data Flow Knowledge:
  Direct experience configuring and monitoring Apache NiFi or similar ETL/orchestration tools.

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Cloud Formation)
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Accreditation knowledge (ATO, SSP Maintenance)
• CI/CD (Git) and Jira/Confluence for ticket tracking/documentation
• AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Cloud Ops Engineer Associate, or RHCSA certifications
