Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for the configuration, installation, administration, operation, upgrade, monitoring, maintenance, and support of data centers, networks, hardware, and software for both F5 and Cisco network equipment. This position necessitates a commitment of 40 hours per week, with an on‑site presence required for five days a week at the Technology Center location and other TRP locations in Maryland as needed.
Additionally, you will be on‑call 24/7 every third week for F5 support, during which you must be available within 30 minutes of receiving a support call or X‑matters request.
Job Description
- Analyze, design, implement, and maintain the network F5 Load Balancer infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and security protocols.
- Hands‑on experience with BIG‑IP LTM, GTM, APM, and ASM.
- Inspect data packets and TCP/IP flow in network and application flow.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain F5 BIG‑IP devices and virtual editions.
- Set up and manage load balancing, SSL offloading, and caching.
- Configure traffic management policies using i‑Rules and F5 TMOS.
- Implement and maintain high availability (HA) setups.
- In‑depth knowledge of protocols, designs, and configuration of data center and network infrastructure related to load balancing solutions.

- Design, implement, and maintain networks that support business applications, including both internal and external networks.
- Troubleshoot and document networks, ensuring all new products are installed properly, configured correctly, and tested before production.
- Make decisions regarding security issues, such as protecting data and implementing encryption.
- Perform maintenance on equipment, such as replacing old routers or installing software patches.
- Provide technical assistance to users and training to employees.
- Document the operation of the company's network by writing reports and creating diagrams.
- Help plan upgrades to the company's network and work closely with other departments.
- Typically possesses 5+ years of relevant experience in F5 and Cisco network installation, upgrades, and maintenance.
- F5 Certified BIG‑IP Administrator (F5‑CA).
- F5 Certified Technical Specialist (F5‑CTS) – LTM or Security.
- Hold network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE.
- Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the broader technology portfolio.
- Stays abreast of industry trends and technologies.
- Ability to work on‑call every third week.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain BIG‑IP LTM, GTM, APM, and ASM solutions.
- Support and maintain Cisco networks, ensuring reliability and security.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and network traffic flow.
- Implement high availability (HA) solutions, SSL offloading, caching, and iRules.
- Maintain network diagrams, reports, and assist with infrastructure upgrades.
Full‑time, on‑site position with potential for hybrid work in the future. Role includes on‑call every third week.
