Junior/Mid-Level Hardware Technician

Leidos is offering an exciting opportunity for a Junior/Mid-Level Hardware Technician in the Intel Sector’s Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). The role focuses on supporting the physical integrations, deployment, and sustainment of development and operational systems, including rack, stack, cabling, and data center design.

The selected candidate will research and evaluate processes to create and modify Deployment Packages, Rack Elevations, Master Cable Lists, and Wiring Diagrams using Microsoft Excel and Visio. The role requires short‑duration travel, availability for after‑hours surge support, and collaboration with system administration and engineering teams.

• Assemble devices and equipment and perform initial physical integrations of multi‑rack systems.
• Support deployments of multi‑rack systems both CONUS and OCONUS.
• Provide support for a lab comprising approximately 100 racks, including physical integrations, power, space, and cooling estimates, power testing, and monitoring and troubleshooting of hardware.
• Develop installation plans and coordinate redesign efforts with system administration and system engineering teams.
• Establish and conduct test cases and coordinate with System and Network Engineers to troubleshoot suspected failed components.
• Operate electronics test equipment, including fiber and copper test sets, OTDRs, and multimeters.
• Plan and implement data center enhancements and undertake lab and deployment‑related special project work.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field and at least 4 years of related experience; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
• At least 3 years of work experience interpreting and working with technical drawings and blueprints.
• At least 2 years of experience maintaining network and server documentation and diagrams.
• Experience establishing and conducting test cases for troubleshooting components (hard drives, memory, batteries, cables, motherboards, processors).
• Experience with electronics test equipment (fiber and copper test sets, OTDRs, multimeters).
• Direct, hands‑on experience with data center design and configuration (rack and stack, power, placement).
• Direct work experience or training with network, server, and Data Center security accreditation and certification.
• High proficiency with Excel and/or Visio.
• Ability to routinely lift 35 lbs. without assistance.
• Availability for short‑duration travel to support deployments.
• Availability to provide after‑hours surge support.
• Independent thinker capable of working independently and within a team.
• Committed to adopting best practices, including compliance with maintenance windows and change control procedures.
• Strong analytic abilities; meticulous and careful in work.
• Clearance Required:
  
  TS/SCI with Polygraph.

• Familiarity with server/router/firewall configuration and application performance optimization functions.
• Experience with network and server component moves.
• Experience documenting and providing information for security accreditation and certification.
