Role OverviewResponsible for restoring files, profiles, and mailboxes using backup applications Net Backup, Avamar, and Commvault; facilitate tape movements for data restores; manage and test backup and recovery procedures; develop disaster recovery plans; conduct disaster recovery drills; maintain detailed documentation; create performance reports; coordinate with other IT teams; and recommend system improvements.
Responsibilities- Assist in the restoration of files, profiles, and mailboxes using backup applications Net Backup, Avamar, and Commvault
- Assist customers with file management, profile standards, and e-mail organization
- Manage and test backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical systems and services
- Participate in disaster recovery drills and business continuity planning
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes
- Create reports on system performance, security incidents, and other key metrics
- Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure coordinated delivery of IT services
- Provide recommendations for system improvements based on analysis and industry best practices
- Work Tuesday through Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM
- Education:
Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree - Experience:
5+ years related - Technical skills: critical thinker, quick learner, detail oriented, and organizational skills; ability to work well independently; verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers; technical support skills
- Security clearance level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Shift: Tuesday-Saturday 9 AM-5 PM
- US citizenship required
- Role requirements:
Provides support to end users and other IT staff by resolving complex hardware, software, and system related issues - Must be 8570 compliant with a Security+ Certification
