- Description Leidos is seeking a Software Asset Management Specialist to be part of the mission solution and help lead SSA’s Digital Modernization Strategy. Join one of our high performing teams responsible for building the next-generation enterprise APIs and modern responsive user interfaces, supporting the Social Security Administration (SSA) and their mission to meet the changing needs of the public, positively impacting at least 65 million American lives per month.
We are a team of forward-looking professionals in need of a strong candidate with these key required skills :
* Provide assistance in managing the end-to-end Software Asset Management (SAM) lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and retirement of software assets across the enterprise
* Experience in utilizing Service Now Asset Management (SAM PRO) for tracking and managing SW assets.
* Recommend and help enforce SAM policies and procedures.
* Self-starter and detail oriented.
* Strong verbal and written communications
** Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site in Woodlawn, MD 5 days a week

* Manage the end-to-end Software Asset Management (SAM) lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and retirement of software assets across the enterprise.
* Utilize Service Now Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) to track software installations, license compliance, entitlements, and optimize usage.
* Track software entitlements, monitor license usage, and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance and cost-efficiency.
* Perform in-depth data analysis in Service Now to provide visibility into software usage and compliance status.
* Compile financial, contractual, and inventory analysis data to support enterprise IT asset lifecycle management.
* Recommend and help enforce SAM policies and procedures to ensure software compliance and mitigate audit risks.
* Respond to internal and external audit requests; investigate licensing discrepancies and resolve compliance issues.
* Support onboarding of new enterprise software titles into Service Now SAM Pro, including gathering requirements, conducting stakeholder interviews, and documenting business and technical needs.
