Operational Language Analyst - Chinese, Level 3

Operational Language Analyst – Chinese, level 3 – Defense and Homeland Security Division, Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, the analyst processes voice and/or graphic language materials in support of SIGINT Operations.

• Recover essential elements of information
• Render translations and/or transcripts based on straightforward, factual written and/or spoken material
• Produce gists of straightforward written and/or spoken material

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph
• High school diploma or equivalent
• ILR skill level 2 in audio and/or text translation from Chinese into idiomatic, standard American English (or 2 in listening and/or reading on the DLPT)
• Equivalent of ten (10) years full‑time experience in Cryptologic Operations performing language processing in Chinese
• For at least three (3) of the six (6) years, translating and/or transcribing, and gisting shall be the primary duty
