Nightwing is seeking a Senior Security Administrator to protect mission‑critical systems and sensitive information. This role requires a security professional who thrives in high-visibility environments, works with minimal oversight, and brings deep technical expertise to enterprise security challenges.
Location:
Annapolis Junction, Maryland.
- Lead the design, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide security systems and protocols.
- Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems in alignment with federal regulations, agency policies, and industry best practices.
- Provide expert‑level guidance on security policy development, system hardening, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Operate independently on mission‑critical and high‑visibility initiatives, ensuring security objectives are met without compromising performance.
- Serve as a technical leader by mentoring and overseeing junior staff and coordinating the efforts of personnel assigned to specific security initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating complex security requirements into actionable solutions.
- Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance.
- 10+ years of hands‑on experience in security roles, or an approved qualifying substitution.
- IAT Level II certification compliance (required).
- Proven ability to lead security efforts in complex, regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards, risk management frameworks, and enterprise security architectures.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative security team.
- U.S. citizenship and a transferable Active U.S. government‑issued security clearance prior to start date.
Salary range: $122,000–$253,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and expertise. Compensation is determined to align with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
