Global Investment Manager – all roles onsite in Baltimore, MD- 4x week
Our client, a global investment manager based in the Baltimore/DC area, is seeking a Business Analyst to join their Product Data team supporting multiple data domains (e.g., Security, Issuer/reference data, Positions, Transactions, Cash, and accounting-related data). This role partners with business and technology teams to define consumer needs, translate them into clear data product requirements, and support delivery of data products.
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious with strong data and business analysis experience. Candidates must have experience within the broader Financial Services industry, with Asset or Investment Management experience preferred.
- Analyse and document complex data product requirements, including data modeling and gap analysis.
- Design foundational data products within the Data Product Framework with consumers, tech partners, and governance.
- Partner with the Data Product Owner to gather, prioritize, and manage requirements; ensure clear documentation and sign-off.
- Collaborate across stakeholders to drive delivery from concept through launch and ongoing support; assist PMs with planning and execution.
- Champion user-centric design to support adoption and strong user experience.
- Identify risks/dependencies and drive mitigation to ensure successful delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Background or experience within broader Financial Services and related industry.
- Experience in Asset/Investment Management firm or industry preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Proficiency with data analysis tools/software, including SQL.
