DevOps Engineer; On-Call​/Hybrid - Linux​/AWS​/Docker​/Terraform​/Ansible​/Git

Overview

Captivation Software has an immediate need for a Dev Ops Engineer to support modernization effort to converge the agency's authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools.

Deploying applications; installing and configuring complex software; managing network servers and technology tools; monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of performance; and troubleshooting issues and outages.

Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call‑in support as required (roughly 1 week out of every 3‑4 weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked. On average, the first team is paged for after‑hours support approximately once every couple of months with most issues resolvable by phone.

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, and all candidates must be a U.S. citizen.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, or problem diagnosis/resolution.
• Master’s degree can be substituted for two (2) years of experience.

• AWS, MASH, and VMs
• Docker Swarm
• Deployments of distributed web applications (e.g., Git Lab CI/CD)
• Terraform scripting and VM provisioning
• Ansible scripting and development
• Thorough understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technology
• Git

• Python scripting and development
• NiFi maintenance and configuration
• Elasticsearch maintenance and configuration
• HAProxy
• MongoDB

• Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
• Up to 20% 401(k) contribution (No Matching Required and Vested from Day
