Training Specialist/Instructor

The Training Specialist/Instructor is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for Comp Hub end-users. This role ensures users across diverse stakeholder groups are effectively trained to navigate workflows, processes, and system functionality.

Your Impact:

• Develop and deliver engaging training programs for Commission staff, claimants, attorneys, employers, insurers, and medical providers
• Create instructional materials including e-learning modules, user guides, and video-based content
• Conduct both in-person and virtual training sessions for diverse audiences
• Assess training effectiveness and continuously improve learning experiences
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content aligns with workers' compensation processes and Comp Hub workflows.
• Design training programs tailored to users with varying technical proficiency levels
• Develop training materials for claim intake workflows, FROI submissions, hearing scheduling, document management, and portal navigation.
• Maintain and publish training resources via SharePoint Online and other platforms.
• Incorporate system updates and release changes into training using Azure Dev Ops documentation
• Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and deliver targeted solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in technical training or instructional design
• 3+ years of experience developing e-learning content
• 2+ years of experience delivering training for workers' compensation, insurance, state government claims, or regulated case management systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning tools.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM)
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and training best practices
• Experience creating video-based training content
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with Maryland worker's compensation processes and regulatory environment
• Experience supporting diverse user populations including legal, medical, insurance, and government professionals
• Knowledge of SharePoint Online for content distribution and training resource management
• Basic understanding of software development processes and Azure Dev Ops documentation
• Strong presentation, communication, and public speaking skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and learn new technologies

Pay Range: $50.00/hr.

- $60.00/hr.
