Training Specialist/Instructor
The Training Specialist/Instructor is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for Comp Hub end-users. This role ensures users across diverse stakeholder groups are effectively trained to navigate workflows, processes, and system functionality.
Your Impact:
- Develop and deliver engaging training programs for Commission staff, claimants, attorneys, employers, insurers, and medical providers
- Create instructional materials including e-learning modules, user guides, and video-based content
- Conduct both in-person and virtual training sessions for diverse audiences
- Assess training effectiveness and continuously improve learning experiences
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content aligns with workers' compensation processes and Comp Hub workflows.
- Design training programs tailored to users with varying technical proficiency levels
- Develop training materials for claim intake workflows, FROI submissions, hearing scheduling, document management, and portal navigation.
- Maintain and publish training resources via SharePoint Online and other platforms.
- Incorporate system updates and release changes into training using Azure Dev Ops documentation
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and deliver targeted solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in technical training or instructional design
- 3+ years of experience developing e-learning content
- 2+ years of experience delivering training for workers' compensation, insurance, state government claims, or regulated case management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning tools.

Qualifications:
- Expertise in instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM)
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and training best practices
- Experience creating video-based training content
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with Maryland worker's compensation processes and regulatory environment
- Experience supporting diverse user populations including legal, medical, insurance, and government professionals
- Knowledge of SharePoint Online for content distribution and training resource management
- Basic understanding of software development processes and Azure Dev Ops documentation
- Strong presentation, communication, and public speaking skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn new technologies
Pay Range: $50.00/hr.
- $60.00/hr.
