Job Overview

- Participate in the full life cycle of an agile project including planning, retrospectives, demos, and daily stand‑ups, demonstrating precision and accuracy in estimating and subsequently delivering within sprints.
- Design test plans for complex distributed systems in accordance with overall testing strategy.
- Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases.
- Investigate and debug test failures, updating tests or reporting bugs as necessary, and provide test coverage analysis based on automation results.
- Lead the team through preparing and estimation sessions to define acceptance criteria, ensuring that the team's acceptance criteria for stories and tasks is appropriate and being met universally.
- Collaborate with the development organization to understand how development changes affect ongoing automation efforts.
- Ensure full functional testing of new features added each sprint, as well as full regression testing for all previously implemented functionality in each sprint.
- Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects and environments used.
- Assist in the creation of test project status reports and metrics, providing weekly and monthly status to management.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non‑technical audiences, and interface with the customer on a daily basis.
- Become knowledgeable on HIPAA policies and procedures for the program and ensure awareness of HIPAA breach process, understanding your role in HIPAA compliance and executing it effectively.
- Minimum 14 years of relevant work experience as a Test Automation Engineer, employing agile best practices.
- 8 years of experience developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and infrastructure using object‑oriented design.
- 3 years of experience using Selenium/Cucumber to develop and manage automated test scripts.
- 5 years of experience using HP Quick Test Professional (QTP) for automated test scripts.
- 8 years of experience developing test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, acceptance criteria, and test data.
- 8 years of experience investigating and debugging test failures, updating tests, or reporting bugs as necessary.
- 5 years of experience using SQL and relational databases (Oracle, DB2).
- Experience capturing and reusing automated unit test cases, test stubs, and drivers, and other development test objects.
- Experience integrating project testing with continuous‑integration processes.
- Experience using risk‑driven techniques to develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for dynamic testing.
- Experience using Version One and HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
- Proficiency in XML and object‑oriented programming.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Visio, and SharePoint.
- Excellent team‑building skills, including cross‑functional team building.
- Prior Social Security Administration (SSA) disability experience is a plus.
