Systems Security Specialist
We are looking for a Systems Security Specialist to join our team supporting (MHBE). This hybrid role will focus on implementing and monitoring cloud security, identity and access management, incident response, and compliance across critical systems.

Security certifications: CISSP, CCSE, CSA STAR
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cloud security tools and automation (AWS/Azure).
- Conduct cloud security assessments, penetration testing, and impact analysis.
- Perform continuous monitoring of security operations and incident response using SIEM tools.
- Manage IAM solutions including Forge Rock and SailPoint.
- Administer security for Windows and Linux systems.
- Maintain documentation (SSP, POA&M, Risk Assessments, etc.) in compliance with NIST and other federal standards.
- Perform firewall configuration and access control management.
- Collaborate with Dev Ops and developers to identify and mitigate security risks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in IT security operations and monitoring.
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud security experience (AWS required).
- Experience with IAM, SIEM tools, firewall management, and Windows/Linux security.
- Experience with AWS security tools (Security Groups, WAF, Guard Duty, etc.).
- Proven ability to perform user provisioning, patching, and system maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years in securing public-facing IT systems.
- Expertise with Forge Rock and SailPoint IAM tools.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53, 800-37, MARS-e 2.0, IRS Pub 1075).
- Experience in firewall configuration (ASA, Fortinet).
- Scripting experience (Java, JavaScript, Shell).
- Security certifications preferred (CISSP, CCSE, CSA STAR, etc.).
Note:
Candidate must be flexible to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
