Captivation Software is looking for a senior level software engineer who shall be responsible for the engineering, implementation, integration, and sustainment of the project Tool's Suite in a Linux environment. This role ensures secure credential management, privileged access controls, secrets management, and automation capabilities that align with mission security and compliance requirements. The Software Engineer shall serve as the SME for the tool's technologies running on Linux systems and shall collaborate closely with security, infrastructure, and Dev Ops teams.

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Suite of Tools
• Recent software development experience using Python and Java
• Strong background in Linux administration such as RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, Ubuntu
• Hands‑on experience implementing or supporting at least one Delinea product (e.g., Secret Server, Privilege Manager, Dev Ops Secrets Vault)
• Understanding of identity and access management (IAM), privileged access management (PAM), certificate‑based authentication, and security best practices
• Experience troubleshooting system‑level issues in distributed environments, including logs, services, networking, and authentication
• Familiarity with API‑based integrations, RESTful services, and secrets automation in CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as Ansible and Salt Stack
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and associated secret‑handling patterns
• Experience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution

• Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Experience supporting enterprise security tools or working in a cybersecurity‑focused software engineering role

• Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
