Client Notes:
We are asking for two specialties in NSX and wireless but need to have a strong knowledge of Cisco hardware along with routing and switching. Again seeing more of server administrators and not network engineers. This is for the NSX INFRA ENGINEER as discussed on the call, this resource will need to start working onsite on a bi weekly rotation.
Monitor NSX daily backups
Monitor NSX system health
Monitor ESG/Edge nodes for physical to virtual connectivity
Review routing between physical and virtual environments
Assist OPCS team with daily support tasks that arise in the NSX/VMware environment as related to network reachability
Assist OPCS team with daily support tasks that arise from NSX/VMware alarms as related to network reachability
Keep documentation/drawings up to date, modify as needed
Participate in future Design meetings
Work with deployment team to
Test ESG/Edge nodes failover when migrating between ESXi host
Test ESG/Edge nodes failover when rebooting redundant nodes
Test ESG/Edge nodes failover when physical uplink fails/admin shut
Certifications preferred – VMWare Professional – Network Virtualization
