Role OverviewThe Software Integration Engineer is responsible for developing, testing, integrating, and sustaining automation tools that support the provisioning and configuration of High‑Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure within a Linux environment. The role coordinates activities with development, operations, and test teams to ensure cohesive system integration, timely issue resolution, and alignment with architectural and security requirements.
Responsibilities- Develop, test, integrate, and sustain automation tools for HPC provisioning and configuration.
- Coordinate with development, operations, and test teams to ensure cohesive system integration.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks, including CI/CD pipelines and IaC tooling.
- Automate manual processes using Bash and Python scripts.
- Configure and support COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, libraries, and packages in a Linux environment.
- Track, document, and report software and system issues.
- Create technical documentation, integration procedures, and test artifacts.
- Execute system‑level automated testing and troubleshoot HPC hardware, software, and network issues.
- Use Git source control and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) for project tracking.
- Apply SAFe methodologies to software integration projects.
- Education:
Technical training, certification(s) or degree. - Security clearance:
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph (current and ability to obtain). - Experience:
10+ years in related fields. - Strong Linux system administration background, including service management, configuration management, storage, and networking.
- Experience with Linux CLI and suite of tools.
- Experience developing Bash/Python scripts for automation.
- Experience installing, configuring, and supporting COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in Linux.
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible.
- Experience with IaC principles and automation tooling.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools including Git Lab CI.
- Experience developing automated test frameworks and executing system-level automated testing.
- Experience tracking, documenting, and reporting software and system issues.
- Experience creating technical documentation, integration procedures, and test artifacts.
- Experience troubleshooting HPC hardware, software, and network issues related to auto‑provisioning.
- Experience with Git source control system.
- Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence).
- Familiarity with SAFe methodologies.
